Obituary of Arthur George Tiesma
Arthur George Tiesma, of London, was called home to his Lord on Monday, September 30, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Beloved husband and best friend of the late Eda Bouwers Tiesma (2017). Loving father of Liz (Ted) Van Den Tempel, Yolanda (Jamie) Cameron, Heather (Aubrey) Postma, Lucinda (Mike) Klapwyk and Art (Jennifer) Tiesma. Cherished Opa of David (Lauren) Van Den Tempel, Thea (Josh) Guenther, Sofia (Rebecca) McTempel, Derek (Lisa) Van Den Tempel and Ben (Kylie) Van Den Tempel, James (Danielle) Cameron and Wendel Cameron (Rachel Campbell), Aaron (Kirsten) Postma and Tyler (Samantha) Postma, Isabel Klapwyk, Quin Klapwyk and Ilse Klapwyk (Dustin McRorie), Spencer (April) Tiesma, Paige Tiesma (Chuck Harris), Madison Tiesma and Emma Tiesma and great Opa of Anika, Kase, Ryker and Brock Van Den Tempel, Lincoln, Nathan and Jane Guenther, Jack, Kate and Lauren Cameron and Madelyn Van Den Tempel. Dear brother of Lucy (Dirk) Van Dalen, Henk Tiesma (Bev Woodroffe), Sally (Larry) Straatsma, Peter (Hennie) Tiesma and Fred (Eline) Tiesma and brother-in-law of Henny VanderWindt. He will be remembered by his honourary son Eric (Stella) Ho and their children Joanna and Nathan and families as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Art was predeceased by his son George, grandsons Darryl Van Den Tempel and Wesley Cameron; brother Sid (Siemie) Tiesma; sister Alice (Steven) Hoorntje; parents George and Isabel (nee Vander Meulen) Tiesma; sister -in-law Janet (Fred) Struiksma and brothers-in-law Harry VanderWindt and Hendrik in infancy; parents-in-law John and Egbertje (nee De Jonge) Bouwers.
Family will receive relatives and friends at Good News CR Church (476 Clarke Road) London on Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. A livestream will be available for those not able to attend in person. Please click HERE.
