Obituary of Gary Edward Dickey
Peacefully passed away at LHSC, Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at the age 75.
Greatly missed by Cassandra Peach (Trevor Leonhadt) and Ally McGregor (Mathew Purdy). Dear father of Eileen McVey. Beloved husband of the late Sylvia Dickey. Cherished Papa of Chase, Alexander, Ariel and Lincoln. Loving brother of the late Donna Kennedy, the late Darrell Dickey, Darlene Stout, Hugh Dickey and the late Norman Dickey. Forever in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Gary will be fondly remembered for always having an open-door policy. He was very proud of his native roots and was a big part of the indigenous community.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the palliative care unit at LHSC, Victoria Hospital for all their care and support.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial service will be held at St. Andrew Memorial Anglican Church, 55 Foxbar Rd., London, Ontario on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment of ashes will take place in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario at a later date.
Those who wish may make memorial donations to First Nations Child & Family Caring Society in memory of Gary.
