Obituary of Russel William Nelson Briggs

Suddenly at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital on Friday, February 18, 2011, Russel William Briggs in his 95th year. Russel was born in 1916 in Hilliard Twp., ON and was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Airforce. Beloved husband of the late Myrtle Elizabeth Briggs (November 1, 1991). Dear father of Dorothy Rock, the late Brucey (1941), Anita and her husband Glen Ross both of London and Harvey and his wife Angie of Poplar Hill. Gramps will be missed by his 3 generations of grandchildren. Russel will be missed by his 2 sisters Doris Holodnuik (Matt) and Ila Winterburn (the late Jack). Predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother. Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Donations to Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or CNIB would be acknowledged by the family.
