We send our deepest sympathy to you and your families. I have many good memories of Uncle Russel, he always had a smile on his face. He was an amazing man, he made many trips down to see Grandma (Ruby Veley)on his own when some might not have tried at his age. Uncle Russel will be sadly missed by many. Even though he's not here in body he'll always be in our hearts. Ruby lynn

Uncle Russel was always very special to us. We remember his first visit out here to our farm in Saskatchewn with Aunty Myrtle and another time with Aunty Ruby. He even ventured out here on his own a couple times after that and never seemed to get lost. He enjoyed his time visiting at the farm and we enjoyed his visits and stories. I can still remember him showing us the set of books that he picked up at the antique place in Canora SK and when he locked his keys in the trunk. I really don't recall how we got them out but we did and he was able to get back to Yorkton in daylight. I also apppreciated the Christmas cards that he sent out every year, it sure meant alot that he would think of us. God Bless You and keep you safe in his arms Uncle Russel, forever remembered and sadly missed, Love Wayne, Arlene, Patty, Mathew and Megan Lazaruk

Dear Anita, Dorothy and Harvey..and families, My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Your dad was a fine man and a wonderful father. Family meant everything to him - as evidenced by how hard he worked to make a good home when you were growing up; by his support and encouragement when you began your own families; by the many trips he took to visit family members across the country; by the delight he showed when around grand- and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was such a vital person, he was always ready to learn something new. I recall the many evening hours spent trying to master the 5-string banjo; the spectacular woodworking projects he completed; and his relentless determination to solve that darn Rubiks cube! Did he ever do it? May you find some comfort in your memories of his love and laughter, and in knowing that we all miss him too and are here to help in any way we can. Thank you, Russ, for being such a wonderful person. Love, Linda
