Obituary of Eileen G. Beecroft
BEECROFT, Eileen Gertrude (nee Snell)~After a number of health issues and finally diminishing health, we are sad to announce the passing of Eileen on Good Friday, April 15, 2022, five days short of her 96th birthday. Eileen was proud to be born and raised in Huron County.
She was an independent single working mom in the 1950’s and 60’s. She was also proud to be a federal employee for many years. She loved the countryside and appreciated travel.
Eileen is survived by her sons Kenneth (Sharon) and David; grandchildren Matthew (Mickey) and Andrea, Daniel (Stefanie) and Stephan (Katelyn), step grandchildren Ryan (Erin) and Crystal (Greg), great-grandchildren Callum and Malcolm, Gavin and Bella, step great grandchildren Sylvia and Graham, Lincoln and Hunter; sister Myrtle (Kelvin); nieces and nephews along with their families, and cousins.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Hazel Snell, sister Shirley (Bern), daughter-in-law Jane, former husband Lorne, and special companion Jerry. The family wishes to thank the staff of Westmount Gardens LTC in London and 7th floor staff at University Hospital, London.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 20 th, 2022, her 96th birthday, at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd., London, Ontario.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., with the service at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 2001 Dundas St. East, London, Ontario.
Donations appreciated in lieu of flowers to The Salvation Army of Canada.
