Obituary of Hendricus Antonius "Henk" Nyhout
Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, January 28, 2012, Henk passed away in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Barbara Nyhout (Rigby) (2001). Loving father of Paul Nyhout of Kitchener, Carla Roselle (Tim Roberts) of Campbellville, Frieda (the late John) McKenzie, David (Kristine) Nyhout & Greg (Julie) Nyhout all of London. Opa will be missed by Kristi, Jessica, Mark, Kyle, Angela, Jackie, Valerie, William & Derek. He is survived by sisters Dini Voorn of Quebec & Rieky Scheepers of the Netherlands and many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by siblings; Herman Nijhout, Ben Nijhout, Riet Nijhout, Henny Nijhout and Sieny Van DeKerke.
After retiring from his job as supervisor at Webster Manufacturing, Henk went on to spend many years as a pet therapy volunteer. He and his dogs became a comfort for people in nursing homes throughout London.
A Memorial Service will be held for Henk in the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. Interment has taken place in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
