Obituary of George Frederick Talbot

Peacefully, at home with family by his side, on Sunday, April 20, 2014, George passed away in his 79th year. Loving husband of Meg for 55 years, and Dad to Eleanor & Clarke Ferris, Ron & Wanda Talbot and Barbra Talbot & Ray Vankroonenburgh. Cherished grandfather of Trent, Stephanie, Troy, Angie (Adam), Ashley (Patrick), Adam and Alex, and great-grandfather of Addison. Dear brother of Glen & Marion Talbot, William (deceased) & Fern Talbot and Leonard (deceased) & Kathy Talbot. Also survived by sister-in-law Anne Ryan, brother-in-law Jim Nicol, and many much loved nieces & nephews. George loved life, laughter & family and will be missed by everyone. He worked many years for Canadian Building Materials (CBM) division of St. Marys Cement. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Thursday, from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. In honor of George’s love for Meg, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
