Obituary of Alton “Ali” Gerald Haynes

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a short illness, at Victoria Hospital, LHSC, on Friday September 16, 2005. Alton “Ali” Gerald Haynes in his 76th year. Loving husband of Helen of 51 years. Beloved father of David, Cheryl Ramsey, Ron “Whompie” & Laura. “Bubba” to grandchildren Amanda & Brandon Ramsey, Alyssa, Ryan & Hannah Haynes, Taylor, Terrence, Alie & the late Braeden (2000). Dear brother of Bill, Gwennie & Shirley. Predeceased by brothers & sisters Ruby, Flora, Pearley, Floyd, Ernie & Buddy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & close friends. Ali was a member of the Canadian Army Ordinance Corps for over 24 years and worked for over 17 years at the London Board of Education warehouse. Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton) on Monday from 7-9 pm (Legion Service at 7pm). Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Tuesday September 20, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Darrell Shaule officiating. Cremation will take place following the service.
