Obituary of Robert Ernest Hainsworth
With sadness in our hearts and happy memories in our minds, we must announce the passing of Robert Ernest Hainsworth. Peacefully, in his 81st year, Bob died on Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at R.M.H.C., London. He will be remembered for his get up & go attitude and his love for Big Band music. He was an electrician and electronics engineer always tinkering with sound equipment. Bob was soundman at the Stork Club in Port Stanley for many years. He was also a member of St. Mark’s Lodge #94 A.F. & A.M. in Port Stanley. Predeceased by his wife Margaret (1976), friend Gloria (2001), his parents Ernest (1932) & Bessie (1965) and sisters Dorothy & Alyce. Sadly missed by his daughter Rory Hurlock & her husband Michael, grandchildren Rob & Steph, Vern & Kim, Jason & Julie, Jeremy & Kristi, Amber & Amber, and great-grandchildren Zac, Holly, Josh, Emily, Tanner, Tabitha, Sierra & Nelson. “Love You Gramps, you will never be forgotten.” Fondly remembered by niece Mina, sister Marge Mifflin and many nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted in the Evans Chapel on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at 3pm at Morpeth Cemetery, Morpeth, ON.
