Obituary of Marion "Betty" Preston

Peacefully and after a brief illness on August 19, 2011, Marion "Betty" Preston of London, in her 90th year. Life partner and companion of 47 years of the late Robert "Barney" Gorman (1994). Dear mother of the late Patsy McGann-Powell (2007) and Jamie McGann. Beloved nanny to Christopher and Scott Powell, Laura, Sabrina, Shane and Ethan McGann and their partners. Betty will be missed by her great and great-great grandchildren, as well as her sister Margaret Marshall. Also, she was very much loved and will be missed by the Gorman family. Betty was predeceased by her sister Isabelle Preston. Betty’s family would like to extend a most heartfelt thanks to the staff at Kensington Village, where she spent the last 4 years, and made many amazing friends who will always remember her. As well, a very special thanks to Anne-Marie and Janice for their support and kindness. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 1 p.m at the EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block East of Egerton) with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment at Mt.
