Obituary of William "Bill" Edward McEllister
Peacefully at Victoria Hospital surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 3rd, 2012, William "Bill" Edward McEllister of London in his 70th year.
Loving husband and best friend of Susan (nee Hutchison) of 45 years. Cherished father of Veronica of Victoria, BC and Tim (Kim) of London, ON. Devoted grandfather of Lee-Ann (Tomek Skowronski) of Kelowna, BC and Lamanda of London and great-grandfather of Julian Skowronski of Kelowna, BC. Dear brother of Guy (Joan) of London, Mary (Dick Williams) of Port Stanley and predeceased by his brother Morley and his wife Bev. Beloved brother-in-law of Robert Hutchison (Georgina) of Essex, Vivian Rae (Alistair) of Edinburgh, Scotland and David Hutchison (Alanna) of Dorchester. Bill was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Bill loved life, his family and every sport under the sun; especially baseball. Bill’s passion for sports was evident through the various sports teams he played on; Wacky Websters, Westman Collision, Chaps Baseball, Beaver Lumber, Dorchester Canadians, Brantford Nissan, Mudmen Football, Thursday night basketball, Monday night hockey, Thursday night volleyball and he loved being a snowbird playing baseball in Lakeland, Florida for the past 5 years.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will take place at Richards Memorial United Church, 360 Edgeworth Ave., on Saturday, May 12th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Janet Fradette officiating. (Visitation will be held one hour prior). Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers donations to The Arthritis Society would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences can be expressed at www.evansfh.ca.
