Obituary of Joseph Robert "Joe" McCarty
Passed away peacefully in his 86th year at home in London, Ontario, September 30, 2014 in the presence of his wife and best friend of 18 years, Gail, and surrounded by the thoughts and prayers of his family and friends. Predeceased by mother and father, Evelyn & Clarence McCarty, brother, Chuck (Gail) of London and sister, Patricia Murray (Al) of Hamilton. Survived by and missed by his brother, Dave (Deb) of Burlington; by children in British Columbia: Britt (Fong), Joel (Dee) and Maryann and by daughter Terry of Lethbridge, Alberta; by his step children, Scott McCarty (Judy Holmes) of London and Tracey McCarty (Rick Rigby) of Carlisle Ontario; by several grandchildren; step grandchildren and great grandchildren in Western and Eastern Canada. Also missed by his sister-in-law, Stephanie Sykes (London).
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff of Victoria Hospital’s Oncology and Palliative Care units for their constant care and support over the several weeks that Joe was with them.
Cremation has taken place. Private interment at a later date in Stoney Creek. Arrangements have been made by EVANS FUNERAL HOME (London), (519) 451-9350.
