Obituary of Gordon Robert Wood

Wood, Gordon R. It is with our deepest sadness that Gordon Wood passed away peacefully, at Victoria Hospital, on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, in his 80th year. Loving husband of 54 years to the late Carolyn Ann (nee Hough) (April 2016). Beloved father of 6 children; Jim Wood (Diane), Cindy (Andy) Harvey, Sharon Wood, Greg Wood, Paul Wood & Janice Wood (Jeff). Loved by 11 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of 5 brothers and brother in law of Jane (Dave-deceased) Haskell, Eleanor (Ernie) Russell, and Tom Hough. Gord was a longtime member of the Carling Heights Optimist Club and will be remembered for his honesty and sense of humour. A Celebration of Gord’s Life will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Monday, August 8, 2016, at 2pm (Visitation from 1-2 pm). Private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
