Obituary of Stephen Robert "Steve" Kozak
Peacefully, surrounded by family at home on Monday, September 30, 2019, Stephen Robert "Steve" Kozak passed away at the age of 63.
Beloved husband and best friend of 36 years to Irene Kozak (née Olech). Loving Dad of Rebecca Kozak. Dearest brother of Sharon (Angelo) Antonucci. Brother-in-law of Anne (Dan) Tangredi and Joseph (Sheila) Olech. Dear uncle of John, David, Darren, Derek, Danielle, Alex and Ryan. Forever in the hearts of his extended family and friends.
Steve loved the outdoors and had a passion for birds and various other animals, along with his love for music, wood carving and cars, Steve was a talented musician and artist. Steve will be remembered for his determination as he fought long and hard through his illness.
The family would like to thank his home nursing team, especially Jane and Jeff for all of their compassionate care and support over the last year as well as the staff of LRCP for their kindness while Steve underwent treatment. The family would also like to thank their dear friends, Rob & Deb, Rod & Marianne, Chris & Yvonne, Dave & Lesa, Steve B. and their many neighbours for all of their support and efforts.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road, London, Ontario (1 block east of Egerton), on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m.
A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held at Trinity United Church, 76 Doulton Street, London, Ontario on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the London Humane Society in memory of Steve.
