Obituary of Douglas Woodrow Patching
Peacefully, with his daughter & son at his side, at the Dearness Home on Monday, October 12, 2015, Doug passed away in his 89th year. Loving husband of the late Gail Patching (nee Stubbs) (1999) and father of Karen & Ron (Cynthia). Loving "Poppa" of Lisa, Jade, Saraya, Keegan & Joelle. Doug will be lovingly remembered by the Stubbs & Nickles families.
Doug served his country proud in the Canadian Army & was a longtime member of the Victory Legion Branch #317.
Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Friday from 7-9pm and Saturday 10-11am. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Donations to the Residents Council at the Dearness Home would be appreciated by the family.
Doug’s family would like to give special thanks to all the staff in Oakdale at the Dearness Home.
