Obituary of Teresa Conceição De Freitas
Peacefully at her sons home, after a lengthy illness, with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, Teresa passed away in her 81st year. Loving wife of the late Manuel De Freitas (December 2015) for over 60 years. Cherished mother of Manny & his wife Ellen and grandmother of Karina. Dear sister of Fernanda Teixeira, Inocencia Lopes, Rita de Castro, Celina Santos, Marcelino de Castro & Martinha de Castro and predeceased by Matilde Faria, Lurdes de Castro & Agostinho de Castro and survived by many nieces & nephews.
Teresa was born in Madeira, Portugal and moved to Venezuela where her & her husband ran their own business. In 1965 they came to Canada, "the best place in the world", where they spent most of their years in the Toronto area before settling in London in recent years.
Funeral service will be held in the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. (visitation 10-11am). Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery.
