Obituary of George William Eric Walker
Unexpectedly, following a difficult few years of illness, George Walker, former longtime resident of Aylmer and area, passed away at Henley Place London, at the age of 65. Although peaceful, in the end, George deserved a longer and better life.
George will be deeply missed by his devoted sister Pegi Walker (Rob). He was the beloved son of the late George (1997) and Alice (2002) Walker, and the very special grandson of the late Bill and Nell Porter.
George spent a career of more than 3 decades in Radio, and even through his physical hardships, maintained a special place in his religious communities. He was a righteous man and good friend who will be fondly remembered by many colleagues, chums and family members.
Friends and family will be received at the EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 648 Hamilton Rd., London, on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 11:30 am to 1 pm. A Celebration of George’s Life will follow in the Evans Chapel at 1 pm. Burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a memorial donation in George’s name are asked to consider the Salvation Army or the London Humane Society.
