I met Ron at Fist St Andrews Church back in 1992. We became very good friends and would spend a lot of time together out side of the church. We would shop together, eat out together. We took him to our cottage one Sunday afternoon after Church to play horseshoes. My children Ryan and Matthew have fond memories of Ron singing in the choir at church. We would visit and he would sing us a new song that he was learning. He would visit me at my dental office with his walk man on and he was singing joyfully to all of the words. Ron will be missed in so may ways. I am grateful for the years of friendship.

Ron took an early interest in the choir during the time of the Rev. Tony Gazzard at First St. Andrews United Church. He soon became it's mascot and was seen weekly supporting the songsters. He was so proud of his mascot badge. That interest never faded and even in his last attendance at church he stood proudly supporting the choir. Always friendly, always interested in other people, he was a signature presence in the sanctuary of FSA. He is missed.

My daughter Rachel and I fondly remember Ron as we attended FSA 2007-2009. Ron always greeted us with a smile, and we so enjoyed his stories about his adventures at darts and bowling. After leaving the church I would quite often see Ron while walking my dog and we would stop and listen eagerly to Ron's stories. He was a man of great faith who will be sadly missed by so many.
