Dear Phil and the Stainton family:
I enjoyed Craig's wonderful sense of humour and loved his stories of his family and family history.
Craig was kind and always there to help out when needed. He taught me a lot about ground water and drilling.
Phil, I hope you take comfort in knowing how much he loved you.
He will be missed.
My sincere condolences to you and the Stainton family,
Sharon Kauk (Ground Water Canada)

Dear Phil and the Stainton family - I also was one of that Medway Theatre Arts gang "back in the day" that had a memorable and formative time together. Craig was always an enthusiastic and imaginative participant and lots of fun to be around. Even after we went our separate ways after high school, I did continue to hear stories of Craig's exploits in the "pump pit" at my parent's place down on the 5th.
My condolences to you all. May he rest in peace.

Craig was a great raconteur and enthusiastic cast-mate at Medway. From the "serious" studies in Theatre Arts class (AKA Tharts) to the inanity of working on Jonathon Livingston Aardvark (presented on Groundhog Day) in our spare time, he was never short of enthusiasm.

Dear Phill and Stainton Family,
I am sending my sincerest condolences on the passing of Craig. We grew up together all through Elementary school and high school as well. I have many fond memories of time spent together and remember his kindness. Craig always fought for the underdog! May all your cherished memories, bring you peace at this very difficult time, and may he rest in eternal peace.

Dear Phil and family,
I am sorry to hear this sad news. I hope your many memories of good times with Craig helps ease this difficult time.
Craig was a high school classmate. My memories of him are most vivid from the Theatre Arts class we shared in Grades 12 and 13. That class could be intense in many ways, but what I remember about Craig is his unfailing kindness and creativity, even though high school wasn't always welcoming or easy. I'm thrilled to know he maintained a life-long interest in theatre.
God speed, Craig.

Craig and I have been friends for over 50 years. He was a great help when I was a single mother with a baby loaning me his car and other help. The baby was 50 years old this year.
I moved to Nova Scotia 3 1/2 years ago. Then Craig and Phil bought a home close to mine not knowing we’d be living close. I’m sorry we didn’t get to spend more time enjoying Nova Scotia.

Phil: Sending you condolences and thoughts of love and support for the loss of your partner Craig Stainton.
Craig and I have been best buds for over 62 years through thick and thin. He always stood beside me and helped me get through tough times, all with great hugs, laughter and smiles!
I am really glad to have you as one of my chosen family members over the past twenty years. You are welcome to join us at our holiday celebrations any time dear Phil. Perhaps then we can jam together again!

My deepest sympathies go out to Craig's friends and family. I got to know Craig between 2015 and 2018 when I was general manager of the BC Groundwater Association. At that time, Craig was managing the Ontario Groundwater Association and we had many interesting discussions about the state of the well drilling industry. He was knowledgeable and fun to talk to and I will always appreciate his willingness to lend a helping hand (or listening ear!)
Sincerely,
Kathy Tixier
