Obituary of Donald Evan Sutherland

Passed peacefully on Friday Aug.16 at Mount Hope Residence in his 87^th year of life, filled with family, service, and too many income tax seasons to count!!  Devoted husband of Shirley and father of Barry (Fiona) and Joanne.  He was beloved “Boppa” to Kiersten, Owen, Maya & Taryn and brother of Margaret Ommaney. 

A special thanks to the staff at Manor Village and Mount Hope for their tender and supportive care during the past 2 years.  Donald was a Chartered Accountant for many years, working with the agricultural community around Ormstown, QC before moving to London, ON to be closer to family upon his retirement.  He was also very involved in all aspects of his local United Church and Presbytery throughout his life, along with London’s Kiwanis chapter. 

Visitation will be held for family and friends at Logan Funeral Home in London on Friday, Aug 30^th from 3 to 6 pm and 12 to 1 pm on Aug. 31^st , followed by a service in the chapel at 1 pm.  Expressions of sympathy and donations to St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation (https://www.sjhc.london.on.ca/fundraising-priorities) instead of flowers would be greatly appreciated by the family.
