Obituary of Peter Bowley
Peacefully, and surrounded by the love of his family, Peter Bowley passed away at Victoria Hospital, London, on April 18, 2024, at the age of 76. He will deeply missed by his wife of over 50 years, Margaret Bowley (nee Cornish). He was an incredible dad to Melissa (Mike) Chalmers and Lindsay (Jon Morrell), and very special Pop Pop to Kailem and Deagan Chalmers and Logan Morrell. Pete leaves behind his in-laws Jim (Cheryl) Cornish, Francis Cornish, Nancy Cornish (Scott Orosz), Clayton Cornish (Haydy Henry), Doris (the Late John) Draaisma. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Muriel Maxwell.
Pete was the long time owner of Pete’s Lock and Repair, where he came to know many people in the London area, always providing the best service. He was passionate about his work. Prior to Pete’s, he serviced much of Southwestern Ontario with Carter Bumper Service.
Friends and family will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Pete’s Life will be held in the Logan Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am, on Thursday, April 25, with visitation 1 hour prior.
Pete’s Family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Victoria Hospital, Dr. John Hu (Sr. Resident of Surgery), his Palliative Care Nurse Michelle, the Nursing and Support Staff on 9B and Emergency Department, his Nurse Practitioner Andrea, and Dr. McLean and their Staff.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Clinical Neurosciences Research at LHSC, to further research of Chronic Progressive External Ophthalmoplegia, a rare condition Pete suffered from, at https://lhsf.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donate.event&eventID=613 , would be deeply appreciated by his family.
