Obituary of Hazel Alta Hagel

Peacefully, and surrounded by the love of her family, Hazel Hagel passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 92. 

Hazel will be deeply missed by her husband of nearly 61 years, August Hagel.  A fun-loving and special mother to her daughters, Cindy Dewar, Fran (Ted) Rowe and Sue Hagel.  Nana leaves behind her grandchildren Tom, Rylee (Zach), Taylor (Matt), Haley (Dylan), her granddog Gem, and her great-grandchildren Alicia, Sofia, Charlotte and Maya.  She will also be missed by her sister Faye (Ike) Clark.  She was predeceased by 7 siblings. 

Hazel brought love and joy to her many friends in London, Betmar (Florida) and New Brunswick and will be deeply missed.

Per Hazel’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Evans Funeral Home, 519-451-9350, entrusted with arrangements. 

Those who wish to make a memorial donation in Hazel’s name are asked to consider the St. Joseph's Palliative Care Program (Parkwood Institute) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
