Obituary of Charlene Annette Vincent
February 14, 1957 ~ November 1, 2023
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Charlene Annette Vincent with family by her side at LHSC, Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 at the age of 66.
Charlene is survived by Richard Jones, her long term partner of 25 years; 3 children and a future son-in-law, Gabriel, Shamyra (Adrian) and Jo-Juan Vincent; 4 grandchildren: Lyra-Anne Titus, Jayden Vincent-Titus, Quinten Vincent-Titus and Julian Vincent-Titus, 10 siblings, Joyce Evans (Samuel), Catherine Parks, Diane Jones (Timothy), Jerry Vincent, Terry Gocan (Michael), Sharon Montague, Nathan Vincent (Janice), Michelle Vincent, Julie Vincent and Michael Vincent, and pre-deceased by brother Joesph Vincent. Charlene is also predeceased by her son Ellery. Greatly missed by her surviving aunt Gloria (Richard) Aidoo. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who will dearly miss her.
Born on February 14th, 1957, the day of love. Her existence echoed the very meaning of Valentine’s Day. She was known by many as a kind, fun-loving and light-hearted person. To have known her is to have loved her. Charlene valued her family and friends above all.
Her kind-hearted nature spilled into her career as a Personal Support Worker. She transitioned to the profession of PSW later in life; it enabled her to combine her passion for helping others and her innate ability to befriend anyone.
She spent her final years of life as a retiree living in Windsor, Ontario. She’d often take trips to Toronto or London (the city she called home) to visit her children and family. It was on her final London trip that the Lord called her home.
Cremation has taken place.
Charlene’s memorial service will be held on November 11th, 2023. Pastor Andrew Karram will officiate the service at The Church of Pentecost (130 Falcon Street). Guests may begin entering at 2pm, service to begin at 2:30pm.
Following the memorial service, a Celebration of Life will be hosted at The Polish Combatants Association (80 Ann Street), beginning at 5pm. Food and drinks will be provided.
