Obituary of Joyce Pollock
June 16, 1927 - September 24, 2023
Helen Joyce Pollock passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, September 24, 2023 after a short illness in her 97th year.
Predeceased by her husband Rev. Murdo Pollock (2014).
Survived by her daughters Elizabeth (Stephen) Firth, Jean Pollock and Janice Pollock,
one grandson Mark (Michelle) Firth and great granddaughter Leah.
Predeceased by her parents Helen and Leonard Wooding.
Joyce was a graduate deaconess of the Presbyterian Church with certification in Early Childhood Education and Preschool ESL. She remained active in the church and especially in the mission work of the church.
A private family burial service at Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario has been held.
A Celebration of Joyce’s Life followed by a reception will be held at Elmwood Presbyterian Church, 111 Elmwood Ave. E., London, Ontario on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
Donations to the Women’s Missionary Society, Elmwood Presbyterian Church, St. George’s Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
