Obituary of William "Bill" Lorne Roy Francis
Peacefully, at University Hospital, on September 17, 2023. William “Bill” Francis passed away at the age of 78.
Bill leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Connie, née Beadle. He will be deeply missed by his sons Bill Jr. (Kelly), Lorne, and Kevin (Candice).
Grandpa will always be remembered by Evan (Linda), Zachary (Carlie), Brady (Paige), Linkin, Connor, Kaleigh, Keaghan, and great-granddaughter, Ava. Also left to mourn are his brother Don, sister Rosemary, and sisters in law, Moraine (Pat), and Cathy (Pete).
Bill was a faithful member of Scouts Canada who loved his trailer in Bayfield. He will always be remembered as a loyal Red Wings, Blue Jays, and Elvis fan. He will be missed.
Friends and family will be received at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd., (1 block east of Egerton St.) on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 7-9 pm and Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 10-11 am. Funeral Service will follow in the Evans Chapel on Thursday at 11am. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
Those who wish to make a memorial donation in Bill’s name are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society.
