Obituary of Shirley Langer
Suddenly in her 80th year at St. Joseph's Hospital in London. Loving wife of 60 years to the late Gordon Langer and devoted mother to Ron Langer, Mark Langer and Susan Kelly and predeceased by Karen Langer. Dear “Bubby” to Sophia Kelly-Langer. Sister to the late Phil Sherman and Helen and the late George and Ruth Sherman. Sister-in-law of Bernie and Ryna Langer, Mike and the late Pearl Langer, Harvey and the late Anna Langer, the late Morris and Rose Langer and the late Jeanne and Frank Reingold. Mourned by nieces and nephews including Pearl Langer and Bing Siang Gan of London. Her loving nature, strength, determination and wisdom will be missed by family and friends. Shirley was born in Toronto and moved to Chatham in 1945. Following her husband's retirement, she moved to London in 1987. She was active in a number of voluntary organizations including Mental Health Kent and White Cross. In addition, she was a strong influence, caregiver and guiding force to her husband and children. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street, London on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at 2 P.M.
