Obituary of Peter Psellas

Peacefully at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 11, 2010, Peter Psellas of London in his 81st year. Peter leaves behind his wife Georgia (Aggelopoulos) Psellas and his children John (Anna) of Cleveland, Ohio and Angelo (Trinka) of London. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Leah, Matthew, Christina, Alexandra, Nina and Gabriel as well as his siblings in Greece - Elias, Antoni (Ioanna) and Kiki Hronis, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Peter is predeceased by his parents Ioannis and Evangelia Psellas, sister-in-law Maria and brother-in-law Panayiotis Chronis. He was an active member and leader in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox community for many years and he was a member of the philanthropic organizations Order of AHEPA and the Canadian Arcadian Association. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and woodworking. Former produce business owner at Covent Garden Market. Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Colborne and Waterloo) Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W, on Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Prayers will be held in the Chapel Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund or Canadian Cancer Society.
