Obituary of Rosa Emilia Ortiz

Peacefully passed away at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital on Friday, December 12th, 2008, Rosa Emilia Ortiz in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Manuel V. Serrano. Loving mother of Manuel de Jesus Ortiz and his wife Berta, of El Salvador, Salvador Ernesto Ortiz and his wife Yolanda, Rosa del Carmen Ortiz and her husband Francisco Alvarenga and Ana Regina Valencia Ortiz and her husband Orlando Valencia. Cherished grandmother of America Vigil, Alexander Ortiz and Nelson Ortiz, all of El Salvador, Carlos Ortiz, Sonia Lopez, Claudia Ortiz, William Atilio Ortiz, Orlando Valencia Jr. and Juan Manuel Valencia and great grandmother of Valeria, Sofia, Gustavo Ortiz and Aron Vigil, of El Salvador, Natalia and Alejandra Lopez and Sophia Ortiz Cherellim. Rosa will be dearly missed by many family and friends in El Salvador and Canada. Visitation will be held at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.) on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Martin of Tours Church, 46 Cathcart St. on Thursday, December 18th, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Father Pedro Delgado officiating. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. Prayers will be held in the chapel on Monday evening from 7:30 – 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday evening from 8 – 8:30 p.m. Donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
