Obituary of Praskovia (Pasha) Ivanischenko

At Country Terrace, Komoka, on Sunday, May 20, 2007. Praskovia (Pasha) Ivanischenko, of London, in her 93rd year. She was born June 1, 1914 in Ivanovka, Ukraine, the homeland that she longed for in the last year of her life. She was the beloved wife of the late Gregory Ivanischenko. Dearly loved mother of Alla and her husband Alex Hejko of Long Island, New York and Lydia and her husband Ted Reinhard of London. A dear Babushka (grandmother) to Alex Jr. of New York, Greg and his wife Deborah of California, Natalie of New York, Melanie and her husband Christopher White of Uppingham, England and Monica and her husband Jeremy Graham of Toronto. Also survived by five great-granddaughters, Vanessa White, Julia, Cassandra and Emily Graham and Sydney Hejko. The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to the kind and loving care that our mother and grandmother received at Country Terrace Long Term Care, Komoka. Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.) on Thursday, May 24 from 2-4 pm followed by visitation and Panihida at the Russian Church of the Sudary of Christ the Saviour, 140 Fairview Avenue, after 6:30 pm. The funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Vladimir Morin officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Country Terrace Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
