Obituary of Merilyn June Greenfield

Peacefully in palliative care at Parkwood Hospital on Saturday, December 29th, 2012, Merilyn Greenfield passed away at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Michael Greenfield of 45 years. Loving mother of Charlyn Greenfield (Edmonton). Cherished daughter of Raymond and Joyce Walker (Francis) and dear sister of Carol Carnegie. Daughter-in-law of the late Thelma & Jack Greenfield. Sister-in-law to Marg & (Doug) McKinnon (Thamesford), David & (Janice) Greenfield (Thamesford) and Linda & (Bob) Beecroft (St. Thomas). Fondly remembered by Sonny, Jennifer and Connor Ambrogio (Dorchester). She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends. Merilyn was a registered nurse spending much of her career in Occupational Health & Safety within local hospitals and industry. She recently developed a passion for photography and was a member of the London Camera Club. We wanted to extend a special thank you for the exceptional care provided by the palliative care unit at Parkwood Hospital as well as the compassion and support given by Dr. Cathy Faulds and her team during this long battle. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will follow at a later date in Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.).
