Obituary of James Milton "Milt" Schroder
Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital Veterans’ Care on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 James Milton (Milt) Schroder of London in his 88th year.
Beloved husband of the late Betty-Jean (Collins) Schroder. Dear father of Ron & his wife Yvonne Schroder and Doug Schroder all of London and Elizabeth & her husband Adrian Herrera of Los Angeles, CA. Loved by 4 grandchildren Gregory & his wife Amanda, Megan & her husband James Ciesla, Jennifer Schroder and Emerson Herrera. Proud great grandfather of Jacob Schroder Predeceased by one son Kenton. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Milt served overseas with the R.C.A.F. during the war as a gunnery sergeant. In 1947, he joined the London Life Insurance Company and retired from there after 37 years. Milt was an elder at New St. James Presbyterian Church for over 40 years. The family would like to thank the staff of 4B West at Parkwood Hospital for their compassionate and dedicated care.
Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne – Please use King St. Entrance) on Tuesday, October 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at New St. James Presbyterian Church, 280 Oxford St. E. at Wellington St. on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Reid officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
