Obituary of Joan Taylor
Born in Brighton, England November 26, 1922, passed away at Terrace Lodge, Aylmer January 14, 2015 with her family by her side. After missing her beloved Jack (1998) for sixteen years Mum has joined him. They were married for 57 years.
Mum was also predeceased by her parents Albert and Mabel Matthews, her only sibling Norma and husband Ken Foster, daughter Carole (2012) Reimer (Henry), son in law David Hutt (2008) and infant granddaughter Sarah Hutt (1972).
Mum will be forever loved by her son John (Melody) of California, Daughters Norma Hutt and Joelene (Brian) High both of London. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and 2 nieces in England.
Mum came to Canada as a war bride in 1945, bringing 2 of their 4 children across the ocean to start a new life with our dad and to join the Taylor family.
We would like to thank the staff at Terrace Lodge for the love and care given to Mum while living there especially during the last week.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home 371 Dundas St (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Sunday January 18, 2015 from 2-5 pm.
Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday January 19, 2015 at 1 pm.
Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
