Obituary of Maria Tzanis
Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, with her family at her side, on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, Maria (Kyriakos) Tzanis of London in her 85 th year. Beloved wife of Constantine (Gus) Tzanis. Dear mother of AngelaTzanis-Alushi& Bob Capson of Dorchester and Toula& her husband John Anagnostou of London and predeceased by a son, Nicholas Tzanis. Loved by grandchildren Terry& his wife Linda Walters, Doug Walters, Tony and Chris Anagnostouand one great granddaughter Chloe Mia Walters. Predeceased by grandson Dino Anagnostou Dear sister of Anastasios& his wife Anna Kyriakos and sister-in-law of Maria Kyriakos & her late husband Nicholos Kyriakos. Predeceased by brother Constantine and sisters Anastasia and Efthemia. Fondly remembered by nieces & nephews, cousins and many friends and restaurant patrons. She was known for her strength, compassion and devotion to her family and community.
Friends will be received at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W. on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 6 -9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131Southdale Rd. W. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Prayers Monday evening at 8 p.m.
Interment Woodland Cemetery.
Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Sisters of St. Joseph’s Hospice or Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
