Obituary of Simon Johannes Kamphuys

Peacefully at L.H.S.C. University Hospital on Sunday, May 17th, 2009, Simon Johannes Kamphuys of London in his 91st year. Cherished and loving husband of 63 years of Irene Antonia Kamphuys (nee Jacobs). Devoted father to his 3 daughters Estelle and Richard Horner of Thorndale, Mary and Martin deGroot of Mount Brydges and Jeanette and Adrian Brouwers of Port Franks. Lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister. A grateful thanks to Dr. Tetelbaum and all the caring staff at University Hospital. Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 1980 Trafalgar St. on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Graham Keep officiating. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation of Canada or Charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
