Obituary of Josephine Wilcox
Josephine Alexandra Lucretia Haldane Wilcox (Josephine) died peacefully with her family in London, Ontario on Friday, October 8, 2010. Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Lewis DeWitt Wilcox in 1989, her sister-in-law, Doris Evangeline Wilcox White in 1998 and her dear cousin, Mary Charlotte Rapley in 2008 (at 106 years of age). Josephine is the much-loved mother of Christopher, Jennifer and Mary Charlotte, grandmother of Rob Nourse (Dawn) of Toronto, David Nourse (Krista) of Toronto, Mike Nourse of Chicago and Amelia Tarbet (Chris) of Austin, Texas, and great-grandmother of Joshua, Kira, Elliot, Graham, Adelaine and Callie. The funeral service will be held at Metropolitan United Church on 468 Wellington Street, London at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13 with the Rev. Herb Summers officiating. The family will be at Logan's Funeral Home at 371 Dundas Street, London the evening of Tuesday, October 12 from 7:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. We extend great thanks and appreciation to the nursing staff and health care workers on the second floor of St. Mary's, Mount Hope, St. Joseph's Health Care Centre for Long Term Care on Grosvenor Street where Josephine enjoyed her last four years and where her mother, Charlotte Holmes Haldane, also received outstanding care and comfort in her last days until 1959.
