Cantor Freiman witnessed our wedding 35 years ago. He was a wonderful man. Condolences to the family.

Cantor Freiman was a soft, quiet and supportive presence as I sat Shiva for both my parents. I know that the whole community will mourn his loss and he will be missed. May his memory be for a blessing and may it bring you peace.

Dear Eva, Gabrielle, and Liliane, I was very saddened to read of Cantor Freiman's passing. The Cantor was a man small in stature, but formidable in spirit and voice. Despite being a Survivor, he never burdened his students with his challenges, and he always greeted us with warmth, encouragement, and respect. Hebrew School was challenging for young kids who had spent the day in school already, and were missing out on extracurriculars. I can't recall anyone regretting their visits with the Cantor. Since leaving London, I have attended many synagogues. When listening to other Cantors, I always find myself telling those around me of the greatest Cantor of all, Yossi; both because of his voice, and the indelible positive impression he left in all of us. He taught me so well that I can still learn and perform a Haftorah in a matter of days; and when I do, I always think lovingly of Cantor Freiman. Love and Deepest Regrets, Greg Diamond

My thoughts are with the entire family at this time. It was not long ago we were in the exact same position in London and the entire community was a huge supportive resource. You will find the same thing. "The Cantor" was a landmark in the community and I will always remember his teachings for me and even decades later for my nephew and niece. Long life to all of you...
