Obituary of Margaret Amelia Banks
Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital surrounded by her good friends Marianne Welch and Marg VanDaalen, on Thursday, April 29, 2010, Margaret Amelia Banks in her 82nd year. Margaret was the former Law Librarian and a professor emerita at The University of Western Ontario. She will be remembered by her many friends and colleagues as a loyal and considerate friend, a meticulous scholar and a generous supporter of education, religion and those in need. Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne – enter on the east side of the building or use King St. entrance) on Sunday from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Divine Church, 21557 Richmond St., Arva with Rev. Wendy Murray officiating. Interment St. John’s Cemetery, Arva. Friends who wish to do so may make memorial donations to the Margaret A. Banks Prize in Geriatric Medicine, Foundation Western, The University of Western Ontario, Westminster Hall, Suite 110, UWO, London, ON N6A 3K7 c/o Donna Swanson.
