Fr. Elias Drossos & Family posted a condolence
Thursday, November 29, 2012
Dearest Penney and Family, it is with great saddness that we hear of the passing of our good friend Gary. He truly was one of the great pillars of our Greek Orthodox Community here in London. His profound dedication and zeal throughout his many years of service are a shining example for future generations to follow. He is truly worthy of our Lord's words who said, "Well done, well done good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a little and I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your Master." His sense of humour and friendship will be greatly missed. May his memory be eternal and live strong within your hearts. May our good Lord strengthen you as you lift up this cross of bereavement. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. With much love and deepest respect, Fr. Elias, Presv. Spiridoula, Konstantinos and Haritomeni.

Dear Kerhoulas Family, I was a biology and chemistry student of Mr. Kerhoulas when he taught at Medway High School (graduated in 1996). He was a very kind and good teacher and one who was extremely interested in making sure that his students were educated in matters far beyond the curriculum of the class subject. He was very knowledgeable and certainly had a keen memory for many subject areas--perhaps some would call him a "Renaissance Man." This world will sadly miss such a fine man. My prayers are with you at this sad time.

To us - they were the 'big guys' as we saw them. Gary certainly had as full and complete a life as anyone could ever ask for. I am overwhelmed on reading all of his accomplishments. He really has contibuted so much to our city and to the lives of others. You and your family must be so very proud of this fine man, husband and father that has done so much in his life. Dear Penny and Family: Reta and I offer our deepest sympathy to you and all of the Kerhoulas family. We were so furtunate to dine with Gary along with Jim and Rejeanne Liabotis earlier this week. That night we all spoke of our memories of our late parents, our younger days, and our children and grandchildren. It was a night to remember for so many reasons. My late father Sam Anas along with our mother Helen were great friends of the late George and Eriketi Kerhoulas and they always took us to the Maple Leaf Restaurant and to the Kerhoulas home on Richmond St. Our families were close and we loved to be with them, We have great memories of being with George, Eriketis, Gary, Maria, Gus and Tina. Gary grew to be a wonderful family man and along with Penny have created a legacy of love of life and spirit for their children and grandchildren to follow. Gary always strove for excellence in himself and those around him and kept looking for new horizons to conquer. His achievements are renouned. May his memory be eternal.
