Obituary of Giovannina "Nina" Liotti
Surrounded by her loving family at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital, Nina Liotti in her 83rd year was called by her Lord to eternal life on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013.
Devoted and beloved wife of Emanuele for 59 years.
Born in Volturara Irpina, Italy in 1930, daughter of the late Achille and Allessandra Marra.
The joy of her life was her family and she taught us unconditional love is a priceless treasure.
Nina enjoyed music, traveling, singing, dancing and putting her fine culinary talents to use by preparing savoury meals for family and friends.
Her bright smile and warm spirit made her the life of the party.
Cherished "mamma" to Elenor (Angelo) Di Lullo, Rosemary (Geary) Naraine and Linda Liotti (Glenn Dobie).
"Bella Nonna" to Michael Di Lullo, Nadia (Kyle) Simpson, Stefanie (Kyle) Welsh, Alyssia, Briana and Victoria Naraine and special "Big Nonna" to Colton and Braedan Simpson.
Predeceased by her brother Raffaele (Ida) Marra and sister Immacolata (Salvatore) Pennetti.
Sister to Salvatore (Elena) Marra, Clelia (Mario) Picardi and Gerardo (Liz) Marra.
Sister-in-law of the late Luigi (Rosa) Liotti, the late Ida & late husband Olindo Petretta , Elvira Lomazzo (late husband Geraldo), Ermelinda Meo (late husband Antonio), Esterina (late husband Angelo) Marra.
Survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family would ask that donations be sent to the Salvation Army Day Program - London or Alzheimer Society Chatham-Kent.
Heartfelt thanks to the exceptional medical team, Dr. Jennie Wells, the Acute Care for Elderly and Medicine (D7-100) units of LHSC Victoria Hospital and the Lily Unit at Westmount Gardens Long-Term Care.
A profound thank-you to mom’s "special companion" Francesca.
Friends and relatives may visit the LOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 371 Dundas Street, (between Waterloo & Colborne St.) London from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, July 5th.
Prayers will be offered at 8:15 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6th at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Church (345 Lyle St., London, Ontario).
Entombment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
