Loving Wife, Mother, and the strongest and most courageous woman in our lives, passed away on Thursday, March 16th 2017 in her 65th year.
Jennifer was born in April 1951 in London, England, and emigrated to Canada when she was seven years old. She was a proud Nurse for more than twelve years. When she was unable to work, she carried her passion for helping and healing to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
She was predeceased by her parents Kathleen Thatcher (nee White), Paul Howell, her step-father Ralph Thatcher and her younger brother Mark Thatcher.
Jennifer is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Rick.
She will be deeply missed by her three children, Angi, Adam (Jenn), Andrew and grandchildren, Breeanna, Devin, Ashley and Emma. Also greatly loved and missed by her brothers, Chris Thatcher and Phil Thatcher (Jo Ann). Jennifer has an extended family that stretches across the globe from Canada to Australia, she will be missed by David White (Jane), Andrew White (Eve), Tim White (Fran) and their families. Jennifer was fortunate to have made contact with lost relatives which have been very loving, supportive and accepting, she will be missed by Dennis Cann (Gwen), Liz Dollaway (Ruth), Nick Cann, Antoinette and Clair Cann and their families. She will be remembered fondly by best friend Judy Dunford, predeceased by her husband and great friend to Rick and Jennifer, Terry Dunford as well as their children Sherry, Tim, Craig (Maggie) Dunford and their families.
Jennifer's will and determination to carry on despite being challenged at most every turn throughout her life was an inspiration to those who knew her. That will and determination carried her through her toughest challenge yet and she bravely fought to the last minute. All of her work was not in vain, she raised three children to have good morals, values and encouraged them to be successful yet to always remain true to themselves and follow their hearts. Her legacy will continue on through all of them and their children.
The family wishes to extend thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff who made a positive impact in Jennifer’s life whether it was working side-by-side or as a patient.
