Obituary
Obituary of Gregory Kalogeros
With gentle sadness and sorrow, we announce, in his ninetieth year, on July 17, 2022, Gregory Kalogeros peacefully fell asleep in the Lord, at home with his family at his side. Predeceased by his beloved parents Konstantinos and Konstantina Kalogeros of Psilli Vrisi, Greece, and his dear brother Lambros (Litsa) Kalogeros, brothers-in-law Louie and Pericles Giannacopoulos. He is survived by his loving wife Toula, son Gus (Tonya) Kalogeros, daughter Tina (Chris) Nicolis, grandchildren Gregory and Nika Kalogeros, George, Dimi and Gregory Nicolis, brother John (Sophia) Kalogeros, sisters Maria (Spiros) Karahalios and Vassiliki, sisters-in-law Helen Giannacopoulos and Eugenia (George) Reppas. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Everything Gregory had, he gave for his family. Nothing mattered more than supporting his wife and providing for his children. Later in his life, he enjoyed the true treasure of his efforts, playing with and adoring his grandchildren. He taught us all by his examples of hard work, respectfulness, honor and moral clarity.
He will also be fondly remembered for recounting all the stories of life and growing up in Psilli Vrisi, Greece, the village he loved so much. And also for telling many of his favorite jokes. Indeed, Gregory loved to laugh and he loved to make people laugh.
We would also like to express our deepest appreciation for all the personal support workers, physiotherapists and nurses of the VON as well as the Alzheimer’s Society Southwest Partners who looked after Gregory during the final years of his life. He was truly blessed to be surrounded by these angels.
Thank you Dad for everything you were and did for us. We will miss you deeply all the rest of our days. Pray for us, as we will pray for you. Memory Eternal and Blessed Repose.
