Obituary of Peter Denezis
Peacefully, at home with family by his side on Thursday, January 5, 2023, Peter Denezis passed away in his 84th year. Beloved husband of 54 years to Athina Denezis (née Bobetsis). Loving father of Bill (Paula) Denezis and Christina (George) Hrisikos. Dear pappou of Peter (Megan), Nicole, Alexander, Athena and Nikolaos. Brother of Maria (Fotios) Karamoutzos, Helen (the late Iasonas) Makris and John (Gianna) Denezis. Predeceased by his sister Georgia. Forever in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Peter was devoted to his wife Athina who loved and cared for him every step of the way. Peter was the proud owner of the Kenwick Restaurant in Strathroy for over 30 years. He will be fondly remembered for his love of writing books, travelling, his garden and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street, London, Ontario (between Waterloo & Colborne St.), on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 6-9 p.m. Prayers will be conducted in the Logan Chapel Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W., London, Ontario on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario.
