Obituary of Ernest Sheridan Martin
MARTIN, Ernest (Ernie) Sheridan of London passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10th, 2013 at University Hospital in his 86th year.
Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Bailey). Loving Father of Anne (Peter Hanford), Braden, Carolyn (Camille Bouchard), Beverly (Fred Eurich), Susan (Rob Morrison) and Pamela. Treasured grandfather of Jeremy, Jarett and Henry. Loving brother of Alma (Jim) Ireland and Elsie Wheeler and predeceased by Elva (Jack) Edmiston, and brothers-in- law Ron Wheeler and Ken Appleton.
Ernie approached life with passion from his early work experience testing rubber at Dunlop through his days in sales and corporate management at GSW and Kaiser Roth. He applied his entrepreneurial spirit in real estate and his own businesses, notably Tomra Recycling which was decades ahead of its time. Over the years Ernie was a devoted Rotarian and tireless supporter of their Easter Seals campaigns, Campus Crusade and Youth For Christ Organizations.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at North Park Community Church, 1510 Fanshawe Park Road E., London on June 14, 2013 at 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will follow at NOON. A Reception with lunch afterwards.
Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Youth For Christ, Rotary of Canada or your charity of choice.
