Obituary of Rev. Edward Alexander Chapman

At Home on Monday, April 4, 2016, Reverend Edward Alexander Chapman of London in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy. Cherished father and grandfather of Jonathan (Mia) and Isaac. Ed will be sadly missed by his K9 companion Jackson (Jupiter). Lovingly missed by special friends Chuck, Cherry, Herb, and beloved sister-in-law Joan. Dear Brother of Sherrill, Theodora (Ann), Lois. Predeceased by his father, John Elmer Chapman (born Sprucedale, Ontario), his mother Eva Cassandra Bryson (born Draper Township, Ontario), his siblings Elizabeth, Theodore, Pauline, Robert, Donald, Bryson, Peggy. Ed began his ministry in the Diocese of Ottawa, the Diocese of Newfoundland, the Diocese of Nova Scotia. He then moved to the Diocese of Huron serving in the Parishes of St. Jude's, Mt. Brydges, Church of the Hosanna's Hyde Park, and St. Alban the Martyr London. After Ed's retirement he was a parishioner of Christ Church and more recently the House Church Community. Friends will be received at St. Aidan's Anglican Church 1246 Oxford St. W. on Tuesday evening, April 12, 2016 from 7-10 pm to share stories and memories. A celebration of Ed's life will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. Aidan's Anglican Church 1246 Oxford St. W at 3:00 pm with reception to follow. Friends who wish to make a donation are asked to consider the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund or the World Wildlife Fund.
