Obituary of Sydney (Syd) Greenberg

At L.H.S.C. University Hospital on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 Sydney (Syd) Greenberg of London in his 96th year. Beloved husband of Jeanne (Greenspoon) Greenberg. Dear father of Michael & Linda Greenberg of London, David & Rochelle Greenberg of Ottawa, Jeffrey & Joanne Greenberg of Perth and Kassie Jennings of Guelph and predeceased by a daughter, Sari. Loved by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Mitzie Bidner of Ottawa. Syd was a salesman on the road all his life and a member of Centennial Lodge, founding member of Or Shalom Synagogue and known to the children of the congregation as the "candy" man. His love of Black Label scotch, calligraphy and golf are legendary. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Or Shalom Synagogue, 534 Huron St. with Rabbi Catherine Clark officiating. Interment in Or Shalom Cemetery.
