Obituary of Frances Cohen

Frances Cohen, born June 8, 1922 in Montreal, Quebec to Albert & Deborah Cohen (nee Samuels) passed away at Grandwood Park Retirement Residence, London, Friday, June 8, 2007. Frances graduated from McGill University in 1944 with an Engineering degree and was very proud of her achievements especially as a woman in a male dominated field. Predeceased by her dearest friend, Cecile Haskelson with whom she shared so many happy years & experiences. In her retirement years, Frances was an active volunteer with several London hospitals & the Dearness Home where Cecile spent her final years. Frances will be fondly remembered by Pierre & Roslyn Haskelson and her many friends in Montreal, Quebec and London, Ontario. A Memorial Service will be held at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 11 am with Rabbi Joel Wittstein officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in the Columbarian at Oakland Cemetery, London. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Alzheimers Society.
