Obituary of Donald "Don" Alexander House
On Monday February 18, 2019 Donald House passed away peacefully with his daughter Roberta and niece Barbara by his side at the age of 83.
Predeceased by his mother LaBella & father Lorne. Loving father of Roberta Castrogiovanni (Jack), Glen and predeceased by Wade. Cherished grandfather to many, but Don enjoyed a special bond with Jackie & Rob Castrogovanni. Don was predeceased by his sister Catherine Rader and his brother Gordon House. He will forever be in the hearts of his extended family and friends, most especially Sharon, Maggie & Buck.
Don was a longtime employee of Northern Telecom, retiring in 1992 and he always enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by many.
Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.) on Thursday February 21, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Friday February 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Evans Chapel. Cremation to follow and interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Those who wish to make memorial donations in memory of Don are asked to consider the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. (CNIB). Online condolences can be expressed at www.evansfh.ca .
