Obituary of Patricia May Pietersma

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Pietersma announce her passing on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. A loving sister and Aunt, Pat was a nurse for 38 years at Victoria Hospital, greatly admired by Doctors and Nurses with whom she worked. She is survived by her brothers Richard (Shirley) and Robert (Beth) and sisters Barbara Gibb and Mary Ann (Nancy) Blumson (George). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews Michael (Debbie), Stephen (Daisy), Richard Gibb, Susan Rimel (Ron), Kellee Gradkowski (Andrew), Toni Krahn, John Pietersma (Betty), Michael Pietersma, Patricia Cleary (Kevin), Gregory Blumson (Vivian) and Leslie Pommer (Steven) and 22 great nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Dirk and Antonia Pietersma, brother-in-law Robert Gibb and nephews Craig Rimel, Jeffrey Blumson and Zachary Blumson. Pat will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She was greatly loved by all. Special thanks to the ladies of Grosvenor Gate for their caring and kindness during this difficult time; also staff at L.H.S.C. Palliative Care. Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.) on Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 1 – 3 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 3 p.m. with Rev. Rob Luxton officiating. Cremation to follow.
