Obituary of Margaret McKay Dennis
At LH.S.C. University Hospital on March 7, 2013, Margaret McKay Dennis, formerly of Chelsey Park Long Term Care, in her 97th year.
Beloved daughter of the late Cecil McKay Dennis and Maude Osmond Dennis and dearly loved niece of the late Sidney S. Hudgell and Eulalie Dennis Hudgell. Predeceased by brothers John (Jack) Dennis and his wife Belle, Ronald Dennis and his wife Evelyn, sister Eulalie Buckrell and her husband Fred and nephew William "Budd" Dennis. Loving aunt of Dennis Buckrell and his wife Mary Anne, David (Kathy), Anne, Casey, Mike (Melinda), Martha (Bob), Ken (Vera), Al (Nancy) and Barb (Curt). She is also survived by many wonderful friends.
Margaret retired from London Life in 1981 after having worked there for 42 years. An avid gardener, she lovingly cared for her property on Cathcart St., where she lived most of her life before moving to Chelsey Park. She enjoyed keeping up on the daily news, conversation, fashions and jewelry. Margaret had a deep faith and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church.
Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colbourne St.) on Saturday from 1 – 2 p.m. The service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sheldon Dyck officiating. Interment at Burgessville Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
