Obituary
Obituary of Ronald George Ramsey
Ronald "Ron" George Ramsey of Whitby Ontario, in his 82nd year, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday April 1, 2019. After 33 years apart he now rejoins his dearest wife and soulmate Helen Ann Ramsey (Chemney). Ron leaves behind his loving family including Todd Ramsey and his wife Shannon, Tracey Ramsey and her husband Randy Girdner and Troy Ramsey and his wife Sara. He was a cherished Poppa and Grandpa to Jennifer, Erik, Harper, Abbey, Kennedy, Scarlett and Max. Ron also leaves behind his beloved siblings John Ramsey and his wife Barb, Brian Ramsey and his wife Debbie and Rick Ramsey and his wife Sue. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, and nephews, as well as wonderful friends.
Ron’s exceptional taste for beauty, both in his garden and in his home was greatly admired. His children and grandchildren will forever miss his apple pies, full cookie jar, home made jams and Sunday dinners. For years to come Ron will be remembered a the quintessential ‘Candy-Man’. While his wife Helen was the Candy Floss Queen, he will always be known for the best Candy Apples to be found in Southern and Central Ontario. Ron was a sensitive, yet quiet man, however he shared his dry and witty sense of humour with those close to him and passed it down through his family. He was passionate about travel and seeing new places, but felt most at home in his garden with the company of his best friend, his dog Shadow.
Words cannot express how deeply Ron’s presence will be missed. At his request there will be a small service for family and friends that will be held on June 24th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in London, Ontario.
